British indie rockers Arctic Monkeys and Kasabian lead the race for the NME Awards, the influential British music magazine’s annual honours.
Arctic Monkeys are up for the coveted Best British Band prize, as well as for Best Album for Humbug.
Oasis have shown they are gone but not forgotten after landing three nominations at the NME Awards, including best British band – despite splitting five months ago.
